So, I'm working on putting together a new Zillow WP website ( I have my own WP site this is more or less me playing around) and can I tell you..it is super easy! Agents if you are even thinking of updating your website you have to check this out. The only thing I can compare it to was when I first got an Iphone and thought to myself " why hasn't anyone thought of this before". Can't wait to show the other agents in the office this stuff.
WP is very cheap and easy to set up. The IDX solution might run you $30 a month( maybe a little less). I just updated my site using DSidx and have been very impressed so far http://bloggingrealestateinnova.com/. Very easy to use and set.
Hey Jeremy, I respect your post( and you, I've been following your posts for a long time) but I think you are wrong in terms of being able to compete with the big guys in the IDX field. Yes, we can beat them with good old local content and a usable IDX solution. However, no one will ever mistaken my IDX for ZTR. So yes, good solid local content will win the day. And having an IDX ( even it's a token) will help you. I'm not sure Jay is a good example( nothing personal Jay..please don't shoot) on this topic.
I think for me Tony its about dependability. I've used the same Mac Pro laptop for over 4 years. I do almost 100% of my work on my Mac. It simply works and when its doesn't the folks at the Apple store are really good about fixing it without the drama.
Richard Hebert Jr. ZRT all receive their data legitimately, so REDPLANN isn't really an issue here. Aaron Johnson, I think ZRT would continue to prosper, even with a new model like this. Brokers overwhelmingly want their listings on these sites. The idea here is to create a new channel, not one that puts everyone else out of business.
