Michael McClure, I have the same experience on both of my FB pages. Pop up an interesting pic, ask a question and sit back and watch the engagement from readers. Even if they aren't my pics - I share from other locals as well.
This job is NOT for everyone. I can totally relate to how you're feeling, Candis. People think selling real estate is easy. It isn't. I can't think of any other job where the typical client places greater demands on a person than in real estate, especially in terms of "being available"/reacting to short-notice demands. How many times have you received a call or email from a client saying, "Are you busy this afternoon? I'd like to see some houses." I've always found it ironic that in literal matters of life and death - like seeing a doctor for cancer treatments, for example - people understand that they might have to wait weeks or even months to see a certain doctor or have a specific procedure. But when it comes to real estate, many (not ALL, but MANY) people seem to have an "I want it right now" mentality. And if you are the personality type that has a hard time saying 'no,' dealing with that can really damage you in the long run...
and of course, there are situations in which you must make exceptions... and in those situations, you must have a solid P&P manual, a good contract that spells out what happens if you get screwed, and an excellent attorney. oh, & a bottom drawer. mine might be filled with something different than yours - but anyone who's run a brokerage knows about the "bottom drawer".
