There is something "unfair" about us agents/brokers supplying the content to listing aggregators free of charge and then one, they receive ad and subscription revenue, and two, they want to sell OUR leads back to us. Our content, our work, and then they want us to pay for it? That's why there is some underwear-bunching regarding the sites.
I also think that most agents would prefer not to see companies in between us and our customers and having to pay to get the customer 'back'. It doesn't make sense for instance when a consumer types in 'city real estate' and all the big (not real estate brokerage) companies come up and the agents or real estate brokerages don't show up until afterwards. This is really just an online issue since these companies are not here building relationships but it is still annoying.
