I do use brochures for one particular niche market. People tend to me moveing to area B from area A - so I go to area A and leave brochures in banks, stores etc. Hassn;t worked yet, but low cost so worth a try.
Windows is a good start...I used it for a couple of years...I just bought Sony Vegas HD Movie Studio and LOVE it...you should have a basic knowledge of some editing before you move up...WLMV served me just fine...I say save your $35 and do a search on YT for all the answers you need...or you can do what I did and Just Do It...good luck!
