This whole group discussion is a little chicken before egg. Before you decide what to spend your money on you should decide how much to spend. Any good business plan has a budget. What % of your income is spent on reinvesting in your business?
Chris Smith I agree please add the costs as it very helpful, at RLS2000 we have just added a mobile site to our plan, it is also a m.site which is important. So you get a website, a wordpress blog with idx plug in, a facebook landing page with idx, custom twitter and you tube backgrounds and bi monthly social media/tech training for $99 a month. The whole package is branded and has the same look and feel throughout. It seems more economical if your website provider can offer you a mobile solution included or else you can nickled and dimed to death.
I feel like I keep repeating myself but outsource this one. You will save yourself time and money in the end. It depends what you want but our wp sites come with an rss feed, listing alerts, IDX etc. we sell them desperately for $60 a month bit you can get a whole package fb, twitter et all for $99. NAR Research has been your "accountability buddy" for $150 annually. Buy their Annual Profile of Buyers and Sellers, and just watch what people are doing. For 20 years, they have shown that more than 60% of your listings come from friends, family, and past clients who work with you and refer you. Do you really need to pay monthly to build a marketing plan around that? Do or do not. There is no other accountability.... :>
