I bought a new Toshiba in September and the hard drive crashed. I sent it off to get the data from it and I spent $350 without any data. They said it would be another $250 to $450. this was Best Buy where I purchased it. Now I need to know whether to buy a new hard drive, send this one back which might take months (if they will do it) or should I just buy a new one with windows 8. Haven't heard good things about Windows 8. Mine had 7. I really don't have the money for a Mac right now and all it will involve. What do you suggest I do?

I like the webinar format, but would appreciate having them recorded for later viewing. Sometimes I sign up and then can't make it but would have enjoyed watching. I don't like the sales pitches either. If a presenter does his job right, he will have the audience wanting his product and they will be asking him.

Yes, and I should have had a backup but it was new and I had just gotten it set up like I want it. I was watching a webinar and it just died.

I know better, but I did not have a backup of the hard drive. That charges were to try to get the data off the drive and then they could not tell me if it was possible. I will call Toshiba, but can't find my receipt.
